WORSHIP
Come worship with us at St. John the Baptist …We are a warm, inclusive Christian community. We celebrate the Holy Eucharist first, third, and fourth Sundays, following the Book of Common Prayer. On second and fifth Sundays, with parishioners taking the lead, we worship using the Morning Prayer service, also from the Book of Common Prayer. We read lessons from the Revised Common Lectionary, and sing hymns, accompanied by our music director, on our historic pipe organ. We respect and value every person who walks through our doors, as loved children of God. We wish to serve and celebrate God in all of life, including in one another. We strive to engage with the issues of daily life, of our community, our nation and our world, seeking to know and do the will of God for us. Where we can, we use resources God has given us to further God’s loving purposes, for neighbors near or far, in appreciation for what we have been given.
